Abstract

The issue of transitioning from a totalitarian regime to a democratic one quickly and through direct war is one of the factors that lead to the collapse of political, security and social institutions, and the region turns into an incubating environment for extremism and terrorism, which leads to undermining the process of state administration and delaying the construction of its structures. Non-state actors such as religious symbols and activities are also considered. Among the most prominent influences on the variable of extremism and terrorism affecting the political process in Iraq after 2003, as some of them contributed positively to reducing extremism and supporting state building,
