Abstract

The importance of the „Baluchistan Province‟ has increased in the international and regional strategic sense due to the presence of the ports of Gwadar in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and Chabahar in the Islamic Republic of Iran in an environment of Chinese-Indian economic competition and an ongoing Indian-Pakistani conflict.
This is what made China set its sights on developing ports that serve its economic project the (Belt and Road) and benefiting from the Gwadar Port to avoid problems in the South China Sea and the Strait of Malacca and thus be freed from American hegemony in controlling waterways. Thus, Gwadar Port has become part of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor plan to be the main maritime station in the western Indian Ocean and on the Arabian Sea.
