Abstract

After years of unipolarity, US dominance over the international system has diminished, and a number of new powers have emerged, attempting to change existing power structures. These powers, including China and Russia, have become influential actors in international politics, challenging the US-led order.
The result is a renewed dynamic similar to the Cold War. Thus, the international crises often put the United States and its allies against the rising powers. Moreover, this new Cold War has major implications for the Middle East, as outside powers compete for influence and seek to shape the region’s future.
The geostrategic importance of the Middle East attracts international attention and participation. The region’s internal challenges and external influences, as well as the changing roles of major powers, have created a complex and contested geopolitical landscape.
The Middle East’s internal conflicts and power vacuum have led to dependence on external powers and the emergence of a new Cold War dynamic, in which rising new powers, such as China and Russia, challenge the US-led order, creating a complex and volatile geopolitical landscape in the region.
The Arab-Israeli conflict also has a major impact on American foreign policies towards the region because of Israel being its strategic ally. The conflict with the occupying entity has turned into one of the American strategic pillars of intervention in the affairs of the region and an attempt to change the real political scene to one of double standards.
