Abstract

Middle powers play an important role in the international system, as they are an important category of countries that have some influence and ability to influence international affairs, but they do not have enough influence on control events on their own.
Middle powers have a decisive advantage in that they are not forced to take sides in any international conflict. Therefore, they can act as a mediator between stronger and weaker countries, and thus have an important role in resolving international conflicts.
The international and regional role of middle powers may enhance the status of those powers. At the same time, they may have a status before the role they play. The role refers to the political, economic, security, and cultural contributions made by the state in the international system. As for international standing, it refers to the importance of the state in the international system and the appreciation it enjoys among the countries of the world.
