Abstract

This study sheds light on the repercussions of the Deal of the Century on Jordan's foreign policy, identifying its provisions, content, Jordan's position on it, and its reflection on the Palestinian issue, identifying Jordanian foreign policy decisions in light of regional and international changes. The problem of the study is that it deals with an American-Israeli intellectual project that attempts to liquidate the Palestinian cause, and cancels the political role of Jordan towards it. The study concluded that the Jordanian foreign policy and the political decision-maker are subjected to American and Israeli pressures, as well as the Arab countries that support the project, to agree to the Deal of the Century, taking advantage of the economic conditions that Jordan suffers from because of its stances towards the Palestinian issue. It can succumb to pressures, it is not weak in the face of regional and international changes, and it has multiple options that can be pursued, to thwart the draft deal.
