Abstract

The European continent was not far from the dangerous and bloody conflicts that afflicted it as a result of two world wars that made it for years an arena of war and settling accounts, which made (European countries) recalculate about concerning security and the search for a strong guarantor who can achieve a balance equation between the warring and competing forces Especially since the European continent could not get out of the spectre of war and armies even during the Cold War, which created some of factors that helped to ignite the fuse of war at any moment and without warning after the intense competition between the two great powers (the United States of America - the Soviet Union) Thus, the countries of the continent worked to achieve or ensure its security by entering into military alliances after it had become a fragmented continent between the two powers.
